This is the Walnut Ridge School Blog, where we are planning to post updates weekly to assist our families in staying informed of our school and district events. You will continue to receive Friday School emails with pertinent issues, but most of our school reminders will be placed on this blog.

Valentine Smencil Gram: CM SCA Valentine “Smencil” Gram open to both CM and WR students, send your child or their class special scented valentine in class. ORDER BY FEBRUARY 9, 2024 or WHILE SUPPLIES LAST. Scented valentines will be delivered to classrooms, scents will be distributed at random.

Mr. Cupcake Fundraiser: CM SCA Mr. Cupcake Fundraiser Pick-up will be at Cedar Mountain - TWO DAYS ONLY with Times TBD on Thursday, February 8th AND Friday, February 9 th . We will reach out via Facebook, Remind, and digital backpack if there are delivery delays. If you have any questions, please contact the SCA at cm.vernonsca@gmail.com.
CM SCA Candy Bar Bingo: open to both CM and WR families, Friday, February 9 th , 2024 at Cedar Mountain Cafeteria. Doors Open at 5:30 pm, Bingo starts at 6:00-7:00 pm.
ADMISSION: 1 full-sized candy bar = 2 Bingo cards, Limit 3 packs per person - to play all 6 Games, bring 3 Candy Bars per person. (NO MINI CANDY BARS PLEASE). REGISTRATION ONLY by Thursday, February 8th or Until Capacity Is Reached: Click here to register.
*Please note there is also limited space for children that may want to participate in a smaller sized classroom environment. Every person entering must bring a candy bar, and every child must be accompanied by an adult. Please bring your own marker or stamper. We will be playing 6 rounds of BINGO! Bring the whole family out for a fun night of various bingo games and sweet treats! No money is exchanged during Candy Bar Bingo. Light refreshments will be available for purchase. We will have some candy bars that will also be available for purchase.

Tuition: March tuition was due by February 1st.
District Wide Gertrude Hawk Spring Fundraiser: open to all; with snowy weather and the spring holiday season being earlier this year, forms were sent home this week or, if not yet received, you will early next week. The fundraiser is from now through February 9, 2024. Delivery is estimated for the week of March 11 th . Please make checks payable to “Cedar Mountain SCA” for all orders and return no later than February 9, 2024. This is one of our BIGGEST Fundraisers as we receive 50% of profits. Please consider purchasing these delicious treats while making a huge impact in supporting the Vernon Twp. SCAs.

We are delighted to announce that Ms. Samantha Bubendorf has been named Walnut Ridge's Governor's Educator of the Year! As the principal of Walnut Ridge, I have personally witnessed the positive impact Samantha has had on our students. Her dedication to her students is commendable, and she truly deserves this recognition.
