This is the Walnut Ridge School Blog, where we are planning to post updates weekly to assist our families in staying informed of our school and district events. You will continue to receive Friday School emails with pertinent issues, but most of our school reminders will be placed on this blog.

We are delighted to announce that Ms. Samantha Bubendorf has been named Walnut Ridge's Governor's Educator of the Year! As the principal of Walnut Ridge, I have personally witnessed the positive impact Samantha has had on our students. Her dedication to her students is commendable, and she truly deserves this recognition.
Upcoming events:
School Closed: Monday, January 15th school will be closed in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
Movie Night: The Cedar Mountain SCA will be hosting a movie night on Friday, January 19th for WR and CM families. Click here for more information.
Important Reminders:
Tuition: January and February tuition were due by January 1st.
Mr. Cupcake Fundraiser: Open to both CM and WR students; forms were sent home this week. The fundraiser is from now through January 26th, 2024. Please make checks payable to “Cedar Mountain SCA” for all orders and return no later than January 26th, 2024. Cupcakes are NOT made in a nut free facility. A minimum order of 4 cupcakes per customer is required, and you Must order in an even number. Pick-up will be at Cedar Mountain - TWO DAYS ONLY with Times TBD on Thursday, February 8th AND Friday, February 9 th . We will reach out via Facebook, Remind, and digital backpack if there are delivery delays. If you have any questions, please contact the SCA at cm.vernonsca@gmail.com.
