Happy November!

Dear Walnut Ridge Families,

This is the Walnut Ridge School Blog, where we are planning to post updates weekly to assist our families in staying informed of our school and district events. You will continue to receive Friday School emails with pertinent issues, but most of our school reminders will be placed on this blog.

District Wide SCA Spirit Day NEXT WEDNESDAY 11/22 : Suggested $1 Donation to support The Giving Tree!!! Wreath Fundraiser at Pappa’s Garden Supply: Tis the Season for the Vernon Twp SCA Wreath Fundraiser! Click here to order your Wreath ONLINE! OPEN TO ALL SCHOOLS & COMMUNITY TO ORDER!!! Orders DUE BY 11/17. 

  • A portion of all Sales go to the Vernon Twp SCA - pick your school(s) when ordering. Purchasers will have their pick upon arrival from our beautiful selection of holiday greenery corresponding with their order. Pappa’s Garden Supply will have a list of all orders. We will have all styles available from Natural decorations (berries, pinecones, mixed greens) to traditional Gold and Red, and everything in between.
  • Orders will be AVAILABLE for pick up 11/24/23 – 12/12/23. Any day from 10am-6pm at Pappa’s Garden Supply: 56 Route 94, Vernon (McAfee Section – Across from PNC Bank)

  • The #1 request from CM & WR teachers is to label your child’s items (coats, gloves, hats, backpacks, water bottles, lunch boxes, reusable snack bags, etc.) to avoid mix ups as at these ages or not getting back things left behind.

The Giving Tree: an SCA program where we accept donations for local Vernon families who could use a little help around the holidays. We ask our community for donations, no matter how big or small, to help make the season a little brighter for our neighbors. Thanks to your generosity we raised enough money to help 71 Vernon Children for the 2022 Holidays!
